  • GelSkin Wound Dressing (Sterile) with AQUIPHER™ hydrogel as the base material, perfectly combines with TPU non-woven fabric, medical-grade pressure-sensitive adhesive and PU film that has successfully solved the shortcomings of hydrophilic dressings (such as hydrocolloid).
    GelSkin Wound Dressing (Sterile) is one of the advanced, high-performance wound dressing brands and has been accepted by various hospitals and medical centers in Taiwan.

Product Description

  • GelSkin Wound Dressing (Sterile) is an ultra-absorbent and ultra-thin dressing with elastic, waterproof, permeable, transparent features. It contains absorbent, hydration-balanced hydrogel and is protected by releasing paper and polyurethane film on both sides. GelSkin Wound Dressing (Sterile) is designed to provide an optimal moist environment which is conducive for better wound healing and preventing scar formation. (REF. J. Jones. Winter's concept of moist wound healing: a review of the evidence and impact on clinical practice. J Wound Care. 2005 Jun;14(6):273-6.) It protects wound from dehydration, bacterial contamination and absorbs exudate from wound. Changing the dressing is needed whenever the GelSkin Wound Dressing (Sterile) has absorbed considerable amount of exudate from the wound to keep optimal moist healing environment.  Removal of GelSkin Wound Dressing (Sterile) should be painless and trouble-free since the GelSkin Wound Dressing (Sterile) will not stick to the wound after absorbing exudates.

Suggested Indications

  • Surgical incisions, including laparoscopic incisions.

  • Partial thickness of dermal wounds & superficial trauma.

  • Protective dressing on at risk, undamaged skin or skin beginning to show.

  • Abrasion, cuts, and lacerations.

  • Clean, occlusive wounds.

  • Minor burns.

  • Step 1  Clean wound and surrounding skin thoroughly. Allow skin to dry.

  • Step 2  Remove No.1 film from the dressing. Ensure the wound is fully covered.

  • Step 3 Remove No. 2 film. Secure the adhesive border by pressing around the dressing.

  • Step 4 Remove No.3 and No.4 film. Again, ensure to secure the dressing over the skin and wound area.

Keep in dark, cool place and away from the sun direct sunlight and heat source. After unpacking the product, please use it as soon as possible to ensure its best quality.
